Bayreuth Lectures in 2016

There is a long tradition of lectures in English in the course of the Bayreuth Festival. The Wagner Society of New York is again offering the lectures by John J. H. Muller in 2016. The Richard Wagner Society of the Upper Midwest is continuing its discussion sessions. This will be the fourth time that David W. Cline and Alexander von dem Bottlenberg have examined the concept behind Frank Castorf’s production. Based on his book Parsifal. The Will and Redemption, John L. Mastrogiovanni will be providing an insight into the philosophical and spiritual aspects that Wagner develops in his Bühnenweihefestspiel.
